YOLO hunt 2012 + May update

Welcome May!

Many new things going on this month: YOLO hunt 2012 (official blog+list here) and the 5th Annual Secondlife Home and Garden Expo (website here). I’m participating in both! But first, YOLO! The hunt is from 1st-15th May, and this set of eyes is the prize. This set includes regular eyes+mesh eyes. 3 colours according to the theme of the hunt! I want to thank Nyu for her help with the mesh eyes. ❤ Oh yes, you’ll be looking for a ‘y’ shaped object in this hunt.

And for Home and Garden expo, I made some decor art pieces~ I will put out landmarks when I can. Loads of things going on in this expo, it’s a total of 14 sims with loads of great designers. Everyone will have new items out for this event with proceeds going to the Relay For Life fund (a fundraising campaign for the American Cancer Society). The event opens May 19th at 6am SLT, so I will try to release more info later on if I can~

Lastly, new group gift is out at my store: knee high socks! Loads of colours to choose from, plus the lucky board version is out. Do come and have a look, and happy May!

I had a lot of fun doing these two looks because I decided to put on tons of layers of makeup, something which I don’t usually do. [the Skinnery] recently released their latest skin Mitsuko, and she comes with some really nice makeup layers that are great for mixing and matching. I wanted to add some hair accessories for my second look and it replaced my prim lashes so I needed a tattoo layer instead and [the Skinnery]’s Mitsuko flirty mascara really did the trick, they’re so realistic! However, long story short, I removed the hair accessory because it made the overall look messy but kept the mascara on cos I liked it so much~

Oh yes, I love these two dresses here; they are mesh items from Beetlebones, so remember to use a mesh enabled viewer if you want to get them too. Here, I have my two favourite colours of the dress, cream and aqua, and just did something simple with tights and heels. *Sheer* is a store I frequent for tights and leggings and I finally noticed they have some free tights out too (man I’m slow)! Also, I’ve also been wanting to use this pose set from Rozena for quite a while and finally did so with today’s post! Guess it adds a bit of a story/interest behind the picture?

Lastly, I did a switch from my usual long hairs to something short and sweet. Particularly elikatira’s bob hair here. I need to stop hoarding long hairs and try new stuff. xD
